Experience the beautiful region of Provence with us.
We start in world famous Avignon, and explore this magnificent centre of art and architecture, shops and galleries. Next, we unpack and settle for the week in a genuine French Villa, our home base with in house French chef and Swimming pool. From here, we daily explore beautiful villages like Lourmarin, Menerbes, L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Roussillon, Gordes and St Remy de Provence.
We conclude this amazing trip with a few days at the unrivalled French Riviera.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day One: Avignon
Meet at the Hotel in Avignon. We stay in the walled city of Avignon, close to the Palais des Papes and the Pont d’Avignon. Relax and discover Avignon.

Day Two: Les Baux de Provence
Visit Les Baux de Provence, a picturesque medieval village at a fortified rocky site with steep cobbled little streets and charming boutiques. After lunch, we enjoy the famous Carrieres de Lumieres, a spectacular audio visual art display on cave walls inside the huge limestone quarry.
We stay in Avignon.

Day Three: Pont du Gard
In the morning we explore le Pont du Gard, a true masterpiece of ancient architecture. Built as a three-level aqueduct standing 50 m high, it allowed water to flow across the Gardon river. We bring our bathing suit and go for a swim in the Gardon River.
This is a site not to be missed! In the afternoon we head to Gordes, where we stay in a beautiful farmhouse for 1 week. Unpack, unwind and relax.

Day Four: Isle sur la Sorgue
Visit the Sunday market in L'Isle sur la Sorgue, famous for its brocante and antique. This is one of the oldest flea markets and antique fairs in France.
Free afternoon at the farmhouse.

Day Five: St Remy de Provence
We drive to St Remy de Provence, where Vincent van Gogh lived for a year. Here he painted masterpieces like The Starry Night. Copies of his works are placed around town.

Day Six: Abbey de Senanque
The 12th-century Sénanque Abbey outside of Gordes is run by a small community of Cistercian monks who fastidiously grow, harvest and process lavender from the surrounding fields.

Day Seven: Roussillon
We visit Roussillon,situated at the foot of the Monts de Vaucluse, the village of Roussillon is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Roussillon is famous for its magnificent red cliffs and ochre quarry. Walk the Ochre trail.

Day Eight: Bonnieux - Gordes
Today we explore Bonnieux, one of the most impressive Luberon villages. We enjoy a stroll through Cucuron, have a drink along the "etang".
We stop at Le Pont St Julien on the way back.

Day Nine: Lourmarin
We drive to Lourmarin, which has the biggest food market in Vaucluse. Indulge yourself with Provence goodies.
We stop at Chateau la Canorgue for some wine tasting on the way back.

Day Ten: Menerbes - Oppède le Vieux
After a delicious breakfast we say goodbye to our lovely Provence nest and drive to Ménerbes, made famous by British writer Peter Mayle.
Mayle’s books about his life in Provence have put Ménerbes on the tourist map. In the afternoon we have a stop at Oppede le Vieux and continue to Greoux-les-Bains.
We stay in Greoux-les-Bains.

Day Eleven: Moustiers St Marie
Today we put our walking shoes on as we explore one of the most beautiful towns in France.
Much of the town is pedestrianised and the only way to reach many of the smaller streets and cobbled lanes is by walking. Well-known for its faïence pottery, which has been produced in the town and surrounding area since the 17th-century.
We stay in Greoux-les-Bains.

Day Twelve: Gorges du Verdon – Cassis
The Gorges du Verdon is one of the largest canyons in Europe.
A day on the water for the keen swimmers
Drive to Cassis , a mini version of Provence and the Mediterranean mixed together. So, lots to do and enjoy.
We stay in Cassis.

Day Thirteen: Cassis
This morning we take you on a cruise on Les Calanques. Cassis is a very old fishing port famous for its cliffs and sheltered water inlets, called Calanques, those are formed about 120 million years ago. Enjoy Cassis from the water.

Day Fourteen: Cassis
After a delicious breakfast, we leave the beach town Cassis and say goodbye to the friends we made during this wonderful tour.
